Date for you diaries
The Wheel Specialists based at Segensworth , Fareham are hosting an evening for Victory Wheelers on the 6th April (Club Night)
They will have food and wine ready for serving @ 7pm, so any time from 6.45 onwards is fine.
It will be an ideal time to bring your car and have a photograph of the club members and partners with cars. The Club will pay the costs of the Food and Wine, and we will be given a demonstration of the process to refurbish Chrome and Steel. We can then cruise back to Botley.
I need numbers when you can for catering (email please)
Address: Unit 16 The IO Centre, Stephenson Road, Segensworth, Fareham, Hampshire. PO15 5RU
January 2011
Happy New Year Everyone!
Well, that’s Christmas out of the way and hopefully the snow. Hope you are all staying clear of the dreaded ‘flu or whatever it is that’s affecting so many. Yep, I had it and lost my voice for nearly two weeks (Lesley was delighted!)
Wheelers’ Christmas Meal
There was a good turnout for our festive dinner with many wives and partners showed up too. The food was good and I am pleased that our new meetings venue did a great job for he Club.
Boxing Day at Romsey
After a very cold but dry start, the day soon become a real success with three car parks filled (yes I even took my Vette). Well done to Chris Jones and his associates on such a good event. You’ll be pleased to know that shed-loads of Beaulieu fliers were handed out.
Membership
This year’s membership has been really slow. Membership starts from December 1st so if you haven’t sorted yours yet, please do so. At the end of January, people who haven’t rejoined will be removed from the members’ list meaning they would be charged the new members’ joining fee.
Wheelers IT Evening - Wednesday 16 February 2011 at 8.00pm
Many of us have little or no understanding about using computers and doing things as posting stuff on Forums, Facebook, and a whole host of other such wizardry. Help is at hand because Martin G and Dan will be sharing their expertise in a live training session with club members on a large screen. Please come along – and bring yourself into the 21st century - if you’re not there already, that is!
Wheels Day Friday – 22 April 2011
Put this date in you diaries as it’s later this year, but we intend to have a presence this year again to promote Beaulieu.
Hayling Reunion Sunday 15 May 2011
We have a change of venue this year as Havant Council wanted us to pay £500 for the parking (!)
The new venue is: Funland, Hayling Island, Sunday 15 May 2011, 10-00 - 4.00
Parking for about 100 cars (and it’s free) with plenty more close by at £2.50 for the day
All attendees will have the chance to buy an ALL RIDES, ALL DAY WRISTBAND for only £8.00 (it’s usually £10 and will rise in May to probably £12) The band entitles the wearer to free tides up until 9.30 pm
There’ll be plenty of different food outlets
No Public Liability Insurance is required
No music license is required as they have one, so we’ll book the ‘Ace Trio’
They are really pleased to have us there. www.info@funland.co.uk
Enfield Pageant of Motoring 28-30 May 2011
We have been invited to attend this event alongside Beaulieu. So far it looks like only Dan and yours truly are attending!? We can’t do the whole weekend. Come on Wheelers! It’s an American Classic and Hot Rod Show!
South Coast Internationals - Beaulieu 17 - 19 June 2011
The planning of our star event is well underway with the entertainment booked. Beaulieu has told us that there are quite a number of bookings already - flyers will be available at the club meeting for you to help distribute. This is a full club attendance event and there is the expectation that all members will attend. Please remember that if you wish to be considered for a free pass over the weekend you should be willing to help and be fully involved. You must also attend enough club meetings during the next three months to be considered.
